Owatrol Deks Olje D.1 Wood Oil

About

Owatrol Deks Olje® D.1 is a saturating liquid wood oil which is formulated to permeate the pores in wood, replenish lost oils and drive out moisture and air. It is an alkyd-urethane resin based non-film forming, clear oil which elevates and preserves the look of wood with no sanding or stripping for easy maintenance and without peeling or flaking. 

It is transparent and maintains the wood's natural appearance. All old finish and wood blemishes should be completely removed.

Features

• Owatrol Deks Olje® D.1 can be applied to internal and external surfaces above and below the water line
• May soften some caulking
• Substrate: suitably prepared wood - hardwood, tropical wood, softwood
• Application method: brush, roller
• Coverage: approximately 1 to 4 m²/litre (initial application) - depends on wood type
• Actual coverage will vary depending on application method, type, texture and porosity of the wood
• Recommended number of coats: depends on wood type and condition. 
• Apply each additional thin coat wet on wet to keep oil 'active' once previous oil coat has penetrated 
• Drying time: 24 hours. Allow 3 days before before putting boat in service or overcoating with D.2 High Gloss Wood Finish
• Finish/sheen: silken "oiled-look"
