Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Oil Varnish is a tough, flexible, varnish-like finish for wood which is easy to apply and maintain; its transparent nature enhances the appearance of wood.  It forms a flexible film which moves with the wood and does not craze, peel or flake like traditional varnish

Suitable for applying to wood surfaces which have been treated and protected with Deks Olje D1 Saturating Wood Oil or have been previously finished with Deks Olje D2.

Features

  • Owatrol Deks Olje D2 High Gloss Oil Varnish can be applied to internal and external surfaces above the waterline - should not be used on surfaces used for walking due to high gloss finish
  • Substrate: suitably prepared wood - hardwood, exotic hardwood and softwood
  • Application: brush, roller
  • Coverage: approximately 15 m²/litre - depends on type, texture and porosity of wood, together with the method of application
  • Recommended number of coats: 6 - allow a minimum of 12 hours between coats; all coats should be applied within 1 month
  • Fewer coats likely to be required for maintenance of existing finish
  • Dry time: 12 to 24 hours per coat (temperature and humidity dependent)
  • Colour: amber
  • Finish/sheen: high gloss
