The Tohatsu MFS8B 8hp 4-stroke Outboard is one of the Tohatsu fleet of smaller outboard engines.  It is a light and compact two cylinder 4-stroke engine which comes with a 7 year limited manufacturer warranty.  Manual and electric starting and tiller or remote control models available.

• The Tohatsu MFS8B 8hp 4-stroke Outboard has newly designed front and rear carrying handles
• Front mounted shift lever
• Reduced induction noise and vibration for quieter, smoother and stable running at all speeds
• Ultra-low emission, EU and CARB 3-Star rating approved
• Wide anti-cavitation plate with trim tab.  Trim tab provides corrosion protection
• 3-way storage positions (port, front and starboard side down) without risk of oil spill
• Digital CD ignition for easier engine starting, quicker throttle response and smoother trolling.  The recoil starter has a larger reel for easier manual starting
• Start-in-gear protection for safer engine starting
• Shallow water drive
• 6 trim positions
• New longer tiller handle (110 mm extension) with adjustable steering friction for reducing steering effort
• Through-the-prop exhaust for a quieter running
• Thermostatically controlled cooling system
• Durable stainless steel water pump housing liner
• Zinc coating on internal water passages for improved corrosion resistance
• High grade marine aluminium alloy to provide corrosion protection
• 12 litre fuel tank including fuel fittings and fuel line (external fuel tank models only)
• Low oil pressure warning (audible), safety lanyard, over-rev limiter
